They tried to dig up dirt on him, then things EPICLY backfired…
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham torched Fox News resident anti-President Donald Trump host Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.”
The senator appeared on the show on Sunday to discuss a myriad of issues but Wallace attempted to ambush him.
The Fox News anchor played a clip of Sen. Graham speaking in the 1990s as he called for the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
“It is your job to supply us with the things we need to provide oversight over you,” Sen. Graham said in the video.
“Why is it an impeachable offense for Clinton or Nixon back then to ignore congressional subpoenas, but it’s okay for President Trump to do now?” Wallace said.
Taking the video from the 1990s out of context it does appear that Sen. Graham is a hypocrite, but he explained what the facts are.
“Mueller is the final word on this for me,” Sen. Graham said. “If Clinton had stiffed Ken Starr, that’s different. What [Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY)] is doing is trying to destroy the president and his family.”
“If I were the president, I’d fight back against this political revenge coming out of the House,” Sen. Graham said.
“Mueller was the man of the law. Mueller was an independent voice that we all trusted to be fair. I don’t trust House Democrats to be fair,” he said.
