He went as far as praying to see Trump in jail…
Actor Robert De Niro took multiple shots at President Donald Trump while promoting his latest film The Irishman in the United Kingdom. The Raging Bull star called Trump a “dirty player” while speaking at at the BFI London Film Festival and told The Guardian news paper that he “can’t wait to see” America’s president behind bars.
“Today, everything’s been turned upside-down because of Trump because he’s such a dirty player. It’s amazing to me that’s he’s…getting away with it. He won’t get away with it forever, but he is getting away with saying these things about every institution,” De Niro told the BFI audience. “We have to defend these institutions, plus the Fourth Estate, the press, because he’s trying to destroy them and for only one reason: to save himself. And we all know this.”
The Oscar-winner used a Q&A segment of the event to skewer Trump again, saying “It’s pretty disgusting that we’ve got Republicans there who are just so afraid to do anything, so afraid to stand up.”
“They could be stars in their own communities. They are. They could go into private practice, make more money and stand up and still be very vocal against him, and I don’t know why they don’t do that,” De Niro said. “Certain senators have pulled out…but others could pull out, get out and say, ‘I can’t be in this administration. I’ve got to speak out constantly against this administration because we have to right this wrong.’”
Elsewhere, while promoting his forthcoming Martin Scorsese crime drama, De Niro told The Guardian that Trump is “a gangster president” and said “I can’t wait to see him in jail.”
According to Variety, De Niro’s anti-Trump European tour dates back to Friday when the Meet the Fockers star appeared on the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show and said: “Today, we have a weird, twisted president who thinks he’s a gangster, who’s not even a very good gangster.”
“Gangsters have honor, you shake a hand and they have your word and you have theirs and that’s it. But with this guy, it’s not the case,” Robert De Niro said.
The Irishman, set to debut in a limited theatrical release on November 1 and then to Netflix on November 27, starsAl Pacino, and Joe Pesci.

Robert DeNiro doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The only reason the Republicans stand by Trump is because President Trump is righting the wrongs caused by a crooked Congress mostly on the Democrat side of the isle and theirs pals in the media and west coast celebrities who are also in bed with them like Robert DeNiro. DeNiro is a jerk and he’s also less as a person. President Trump is upsetting the status quo in our government and the only way they can respond is by lying and using illegetimate and demeaning and illegal ways to go after him. They can’t beat him at his own game so they say Trump is a gangster. Well I guess DeNiro knows what a gangster is because he has played the bad guy in some of his movies. You know God don’t like ugly and what goes around comes around. I stand for President Trump because he stands for the American flag, the country and it’s people. May Trump keep on winning. Just remember President Trump is not alone.
Bobby is insane. I will not pay to see any piece of crap movie he is in.
De Niro is nothing more than a thug.
