Things have gotten so bad, this finally happened.
Rioters attempted to set Portland’s Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler’s condo on fire after calls grew for him to resign for not meeting their demands.
Now, according to the New York Post, Mayor Wheeler is deciding to move out of his $840,000 condo so the other residents don’t have to face the consequences of his actions.
“I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,” Wheeler wrote in an email to other residents of the condo.
“It’s unfair to all of you who have no role in politics or in my administration,” he added.
