There’s a dangerous trend spreading throughout America, and it’s mostly Democrats behind it.
It’s the idea that it’s ok for non-citizens to vote in local elections.
Citizenship is special, and it separates out those who have a stake in America from those who are just passing through it or living here for a while.
One of the privileges of citizenship is the right to vote.
It shouldn’t be available to everyone.
But now the Republican Governor of Vermont, Phil Scott, is onboard with the Democrats’ radical idea too.
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) is asking state lawmakers to pass an elections law that would allow non-citizens across the state to vote in local municipality elections.
Scott vetoed two pieces of legislation that sought to give non-citizens the right to vote in local elections in Montpelier and Winooski, Vermont. However, he said he is not opposed to the plan but wants state legislatures to send him a bill that would give non-citizens the right to vote, statewide, in local elections.Breitbart News
Republicans support our country, its Constitution, and its culture.
Extending the right to shape America’s future to those who are not citizens supports none of those things.
Plus, there’s another consequence too.
Guess which party the majority of those people will be voting for…
Democrats, of course.
Scott’s support of this policy also puts him on the same page as none other than Stacey Abrams.
He should think again.
If he doesn’t, patriots should primary him at the next election.
