In a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports, GOP voters were asked whether they wanted the party to be more like Mike Pence, or more like Donald Trump.
The answer was crystal clear.
GOP voters prefer the Republican Party to be “more like” former President Trump than “more like” former Vice President Mike Pence, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday found.
The survey asked respondents, “Should the Republican Party be more like former President Donald Trump or more like Mike Pence?”
A plurality of likely voters, 40 percent, said “more like Donald Trump,” compared to 38 percent who said “more like Mike Pence” and 22 percent who remain unsure. However, a majority of Republicans, specifically, believe the party should be more like the former president, 64 percent to the 24 percent who chose Pence. Even a plurality of independent voters said the Republican Party should be more like Trump than Pence, 39 percent to 36 percent.Breitbart News
Although the numbers are quite close in certain segments of the population, the key statistic is what Republicans believe.
And almost two-thirds want the party to be like Trump.
That comes as no surprise, considering what Trump has done for America in the past 4 years.
Mike Pence failed to send back the slates of electoral college votes in contested states on January 6th, which many claimed he had constitutional authority to do.
That says it all about Pence.
There’s also one more data point which suggests the GOP would lose if it became more like Mike Pence.
If Democrats want the GOP to resemble Pence, then that’s surefire evidence it should do precisely the opposite.
It also shows that if RINOs in the Establishment attempt to pivot the GOP back to the status quo before Trump came along, there will be plenty of party members and voters in their way!
