Florida has been leading the way in terms of America First policies, and much of the good work is down to Governor Ron DeSantis.
He was also present at a recent meeting of the Florida Board of Education, where an excellent new proposal was just passed.
The Florida Board of Education approved a proposal Thursday which outlines the teaching of American history, banning critical race theory from being taught in classrooms across the Sunshine State.
While the proposed rule did not specifically mention critical race theory, it prevents teachers from trying “to indoctrinate or persuade students to a particular point of view.”
The rule states:
Instruction on the required topics must be factual and objective and may not suppress or distort significant historical events, such as the Holocaust, and may not define American history as something other than the creation of a new nation based largely on universal principles stated in the Declaration of Independence.Breitbart News
This was a key part of President Trump’s agenda – stopping schools from indoctrinating our children.
He said this in his speech at Mount Rushmore last year.
Now DeSantis has picked up where Trump left off.
He posted a Tweet summarizing the proposal.
All of these elements are exactly what should be in place in every single American school.
Now that this is in place in Florida, there is no excuse for the other red states who already have a strong Republican influence over their education systems.
This could save a generation of children from being indoctrinated by leftists, and that’s important not just for parents and families, but for our whole country.
After all, young people will shape the future of America.
