One of the single biggest problems with liberal politicians is that they know no limits. They believe so blindly in their own inherent goodness that they believe any extreme is okay to go to for a stated good intention.
Yet, amazingly, we keep seeing those same people violating their own standards and being caught doing horrible things. But that’s a story for another time….
What we have today is an incredibly disturbing statement by Joe Biden’s Secretary of Health and Human Services which puts the government in the middle of your personal, private medical information. Jack Phillips writes,
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra argued that the federal government is entitled to know who has been vaccinated against COVID-19, responding to concerns over a recently announced White House plan to send teams door-to-door.
“Perhaps we should point out that the federal government has had to spend trillions of dollars to try to keep Americans alive during this pandemic, so it is absolutely the government’s business. It is taxpayers’ business if we have to continue to spend money to try to keep people from contracting COVID and helping reopen the economy,” Becerra told CNN on Thursday.
Becerra claimed that “knocking on a door has never been against the law” and “you don’t have to answer, but we hope you do.” He added, “Because if you haven’t been vaccinated, we can help dispel some of those rumors you’ve heard and hopefully get you vaccinated.”
Earlier this week, President Joe Biden and White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced a plan to send teams door-to-door to provide information about vaccines in areas with relatively low vaccination rates.
Of course, Becerra uses government spending as an excuse to expand the government’s invasion of our privacy. Funny, I don’t remember any discussion about how many non-liberal people were pushing for government spending “to keep Americans alive during the pandemic” which appears to have primarily been paying people not to work.
And, remember, these are the people who don’t think that parents should know if their child is getting an abortion or taking puberty blocker hormones, but they think they’re okay to have that information about both your children and private medical information about you.
The blind arrogance and hypocrisy is astounding.
