Hollywood has an honesty problem. I mean, sure, the whole industry is, basically, people playing pretend and taking us on a ride through a story with them, and it can be a lot of fun when they do it right. But even off screen, the overwhelming majority of those in Hollywood appear to be living in a bubble of a bizarre narrative created by mainstream media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC.
There are the occasional exceptions to that rule, such as Kurt Russell, but even folks like that are likely to be ignored by the mainstream media because they are white (and in the case of Russell, a white man).
It’s harder for leftists to discount the blunt statements made by a famous black actor, though, an actor is pretty much universally respected as a great actor and has a reputation as a truly decent human being. And because they can’t disregard the statements, there’s a reason why you’ve likely never heard the interview referenced below.
The actor in question is Morgan Freeman. Yes, the Morgan Freeman of the movies Se7en, Red, Invictus, several Batman movies, and many more movies. If you have kids, they’ll probably know him from work in The Lego Movie and its sequel. I remember him from the television show The Electric Company when I was a child.
There’s no question that Freeman has had a fantastic career in acting. What you may not know is that he was born in 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. Yes, the deep South during segregation, where many leftists believe racism was and is still the worst. Yet, he became fabulously successful by any measure of the term. Based on his background and his success, it would seem clear that Freeman understands racism in America and what it takes to succeed in America. You can watch what he has to say below.
Doesn’t that sum it up clearly? Racism isn’t an issue that prevents anyone with courage from doing what they want to do in life. But that’s a message that leftists in America don’t want you to know.
