CNN, like MSNBC and other parts of the mainstream media, is a giant dumpster fire of misinformation. They are, to put it simply, the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party. At this point, to pretend to call them a news outlet is to have completely lost touch with reality.
Yet, another example of this propaganda (and it is pretty common) showed up with their attempt to deflect the blame from Joe Biden for higher gas prices in America (hat tip to here for the lead). Joseph Vazquez writes,
CNN’s knee-jerk reaction to spiking gas prices was to protect President Joe Biden, and Twitter users jumped all over the outlet for it.
CNN Business published a ridiculous story headlined, “Gas prices are above $3. Biden doesn’t have a magic wand to fix that.” CNN Business Lead Writer Matt Egan patronized readers by saying, “President Joe Biden is being attacked for $3 gasoline. But the truth is the White House isn’t to blame for high gas prices – and has few options to lower them.” The CNN Business tweet of Egan’s pro-Biden propaganda was heavily ratioed.
Did Egan forget that GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis Patrick De Haan recently argued in April that Biden’s energy plan was contributing to rising gas prices? Also, Egan’s employer previously published a story in April headlined, “All that stimulus is sending inflation higher.” CNN said in the April story that the “biggest driver” behind the spike in the U.S. Producer Price Index — “which measures sale prices for goods and services” — was “a sharp 8.8% jump in gasoline prices.”
Fox Business host Charles Payne ripped CNN Business for its propaganda: “Dear CNN ‘Business.’ Biden declared war on fossil fuel and took swift action while threatening more. Oil projects can’t find funding and portfolio managers shunning stocks.” He continued: “When supply can’t meet demand prices rise. BTW a pen & phone & rhetoric are more powerful than magic wand.”
Imagine that. Biden does things to shrink the gas supply, and the price of gas goes up. It’s almost like supply and demand actually affect each other. Who would have thought?
Jeffrey Swindoll has fun with it when he writes:
In April, CNN (yeah, the same “news” organization) published a headline that said, “All that stimulus is sending inflation higher.”
Gee, CNN! Who do you think authorized “that stimulus”? I’ll go ahead and connect the dots for you. It’s the President of the United States of America.
Let me get this straight. Biden gets to take credit that Fourth of July meals are 16 cents cheaper, but gas prices have nothing to do with him. Am I following your non-sense correctly, CNN?
Apparently, if you’re Joe Biden, then, yes, Biden gets to take credit for any little thing that could be interpreted as an improvement, but he can’t be blamed for anything that really is his fault. What a bunch of clowns the mainstream media is.
