Senator Rand Paul, like his colleagues, has the power to question people as part of being on committees and being present in hearings.
He’s used this multiple times to scrutinize Anthony Fauci.
In the latest exchange between the two, Paul said he’d be requesting a criminal referral.
Here’s how the story developed.
Yesterday Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) sparred with the polarizing Anthony Fauci for a third time in the U.S. Senate, when he offered Fauci the opportunity to retract his previous statements claiming that he did not fund “Gain-of-Function” experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology via the NIH. Fauci seemed to claim that the definition of Gain-of-Function has apparently changed since Fuaci allowed the funding, and repeatedly called Paul a liar.National File
…the left wing mainstream media celebrated Fauci’s ad hominem attacks against Paul because “Fauci controls all the funding, and the media is all on his side.” The senator added, “He’s been there for 40 years, probably 39 years too long, but he controls all the funding, so people are deathly afraid of him. Researchers will not speak out.”
Later yesterday, in an appearance on Sean Hannity’s program – it is noteworthy that Hannity is now pushing controversial COVID-19 vaccinations while Paul says those who have recovered from COVID-19 and thus have a natural immunity and do not need vaccinations – to promise to pursue criminal action against the man once called “America’s Doctor”.National File
As you can see, Fauci simply doesn’t want to be held accountable and seems to think he doesn’t have to be.
Paul is rightly not putting up with this, and that’s why he requested a criminal referral.
Here’s a short clip from his interview with Sean Hannity.
Fauci has been treated like someone everyone needs to obey ever since this pandemic started.
It’s looking like he’s not the sage-like figure he was made out to be.
Let’s see what else comes to light about him in the weeks and months to come.
