Most leftists don’t know history. Oh, they think that they do, but the “history” that they tend to know is history filtered through Marxist ideas and twisted to mean (usually) the exact opposite of what it really meant. Howard Zinn’s “work” is a perfect example of this nonsense, and Critical Race Theory is just continuing that warped narrative.
Now, I bring this up because, if leftists actually knew history and, therefore, knew about real oppression of people (like, oh, say, the Holocaust in which the Nazis killed millions of Jews), then they probably wouldn’t be proposing the lunacy that they often propose.
Take something that is happening in one California city. If that city knew their history, then, they would recognize that they are trying to treat their employees like the Nazis treated Jews which started with making Jews wear a yellow Star of David on their clothing to identify themselves.
Well, this California city is doing something similar. Jack Phillips writes,
A city in Southern California has ordered vaccinated government employees to wear stickers if they want to work without masks on, said city officials.
Montclair, California, city manager Edward Starr told the San Bernardino Sun that workers who haven’t been vaccinated or don’t provide proof or verification of their vaccination against COVID-19 will be required to wear masks.
The California Department of Public Health is recommending stickers placed on employee badges “to demonstrate they have been fully vaccinated,” Starr said.
Starr added that if the city doesn’t comply with state or federal regulations, which he didn’t elaborate on, fines as much as $10,000 per day could be issued.
“We intend to avoid those violations,” he said.
Jon Hamilton, Montclair director of administrative services and human resources, told KLTA-5 that there’s no mandate around the program, adding that it’s voluntary. Employees who don’t wish to wear a mask have to keep a vaccination card with them, he said.
So, let me get this straight: It’s completely voluntary, but everyone must comply. So, it’s not voluntary. Right. Got it.
Standard liberal gaslighting and (lack of) logic. It’s all so clear, now.
