AS YOU CAN SEE, WE’RE GOING TO HAVE CENTRAL AND EASTERN PARTS OF THE STATE WITH THE INCREASE IN SNOWS ACROSS THE AREA, GOING TO START FROM THE NORTH, GO TO THE SOUTH, THERE WILL BE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW, ESPECIALLY OVER EASTERN PARTS OF NEW MEXICO IN THAT WINDY AIR CONDITIONS. AND THEN WE WILL SEE PERIODS OF SNOW THURSDAY ON INTO FRIDAY AND INTO NIGHT AS WELL. SO HERE’S THIS DROP LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WHICH IS GOING TO TAKE UP PROXIMITY TO THE SOUTH OF NEW MEXICO AND KEEP THE SNOW GOING OVER PARTS OF THE STATE BY FRIDAY NOW. BUT IT’S GOING TO BE A BREEZY AND COLDER THAN NORMAL DAY THROUGHOUT CENTRAL WESTERN PARTS OF THE STATE. TEMPERATURES, THE THIRTIES AND FORTIES FROM SANTA FE INTO ALBUQUERQUE. YOU’VE MADE YOUR TRAVELS TAKING THE EASTERN PART OF THE STATE, RAIN CHANGING TO SNOW FROM AREAS RIGHT AND I-40 AND CERTAINLY ALONG THAT 285 CORRIDOR THAT’S FOR THURSDAY GOING INTO FRIDAY REALIZED TEMPERATURES DROP INTO THE THIRTIES. THE SYSTEM STALLS TO THE SOUTH AND KEEPS THROWING IN PERIODS OF SNOW AND ACCUMULATING SNOW. SO BETWEEN THURSDAY AND THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT, FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY DIETERS POTENTIAL FOR SOME OF THE LOWER ELEVATION IS TO GET 2 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW, AN 8 TO 12 INCHES UP AROUND RUIDOSO ON INTO THE CLOUD CRAFT REGION. BUT REALIZE THIS COULD CHANGE. AND WE’LL HAVE THE LATEST FORECAST MODEL SHOW YOU COMING UP TONIGHT AT 10:00. BUT IF YOUR TRAVEL, TAKE YOU HERE, GET THE LATEST ROAD CONDITIONS BEFORE, YOU HEAD OUT, IT WILL START TO DRY OUT STATEWIDE OVER THE WEEKEND. BUT THAT COLD START WILL GIVE WAY TO DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE FORTIES START TO EDGE UP A LITTLE BIT IN THE UPPER FORTIES BY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AROUND FARMINGTON BEFORE ANOTHER SYSTEM WORKS ON TUESDAY, WITH DROPPING TEMPERATURES AND SOME SNOW SHOWERS, THERE COULD BE SOME RAIN SNOW SHOWER MIXES AROUND SOCORRO DOWN INTO THE TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES AREA WILL BE IN THE FORTIES GOING INTO THE FIFTIES, THROUGHOUT SILVER CITY AND INCREASING WINDS TOWARD TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. SOUTHEAST. HERE IS THE PROBLEMATIC AREA. RAIN CHANGING INTO SNOW SHOWERS DROPPING TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY WITH SNOW TO ACCUMULATE THROUGHOUT SOUTHEASTERN PARTS OF THE STATE. SO, YEAH, WE’RE REALLY CONCERNED. YOU MAKE SURE YOU GET THE LATEST ROAD CONDITIONS, HAVE THAT EMERGENCY KIT BEFORE, YOU HEAD OUTSIDE AND THEN MORE WIND AND TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY. THERE WILL BE SOME SLICK TRAVEL AT TIMES AROUND RATON PASS AREAS. INTERSTATE 25, INTERSTATE 40. SO CERTAINLY BE AWARE THAT AND REALIZE SOME SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW SHOWERS AND COLD TEMPERATURES THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY IT GETS BETTER. BUT INCREASING WINDS MONDAY AND INTO TUESDAY WITH TUESDAY. EVENTUALLY THOSE WINDS COULD GUST OVER 50 MILES AN HOUR. BY TUESDAY, THEY’RE 90 TO 37. FOR YOUR LOW AND HIGH THROUGHOUT THE TAOS AREA. REALIZE THERE’LL BE SOME ISOLATED SNOW SHOWERS AND SOME BLOWING SNOW SHOWERS AROUND THE SANTA FE AREA. HIGH OF ONLY 38 DEGREES AND COLD MORNINGS WITH MILDER DAYTIME HIGHS AND ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL DROP. TEMPERATURES KICK UP THE AND BRING A SNOW FEW SNOW SHOWERS AND BY TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK AND THEN MOSTLY SKIES ON YOUR THANKSGIVING AND BREEZY AND CHILLY. SO BE PREPARED FOR THAT. A HIGH OF 45 DEGREES WITH SOME ISOLATED SNOWS, BUT MOST OF THAT TO THE EAST OF OUR AREA SUNSHINE AND A COLD START WITH A COOL AFTERNOON FOR BLACK FRIDAY.
