A woman on TikTok suffered a cheeky wardrobe malfunction during a work dinner party.
Ebony Patrice posted the incident to the social platform, capturing the moment she and her friend realized that her bare derrière was only covered by the thin, black mesh of her dress.
“Serious wardrobe malfunction,” she captioned the revealing clip.
“Hey, y’all, just walking down the stairs feeling myself, looking cute,” Patrice narrated the video posted in August. “And then, boom. Whole a– out. Do y’all see that? Oh, my God.”
But the comments quickly flooded with people doubting that the exposé was a mishap.
“Oh it wasn’t supposed to happen???” one user asked.
“It wasnt like that the whole time??” another wrote.
“Perfect example of the difference between the lighting in your room and outside of it,” another person said of a potential lesson learned.
“Nah she knew what she was doing,” another laughed about the flash of flesh.
Even though many commenters assured Patrice that the dress still “looked good,” she made a follow-up video claiming that she had no intention of sporting a barely-there look that night.
Patrice explained that she bought the dress for an out-of-state dinner party and realized that the security tag was still attached when she went to put it on.
With no other outfit options, she cut the dress’s tag out, resulting in its black lining riding up when she left her seat to use the restroom.
Patrice said she felt “a little draft” when she excused herself, so she asked her friend to take a video of her walking down the steps to see if her dress looked different on camera.
Sure enough, it did.
“I also posted it just to bring awareness to ‘s–t happens,’ OK?” she laughed in the follow-up. “It was funny at the end of the day … I wasn’t trying to be promiscuous; that’s not how the dress goes. It actually has a full lining in it, so there you go.”
Luckily, Patrice said all she needed to do was pull the lining down and return to the table as normal.
