Talk about a mother and her young!
Courtney Lee Hewitt, a 25-year-old mom from Tennessee, is virally taunting judgmental “Karens,” who hatefully criticize her for having a 14-year-old son.
“When you just turned 25 and have a 14-year-old bonus son,” Hewitt bragged in a cheeky TikTok clip alongside the blue-eyed teen. “Be mad about this one, Karen,” she added.
In the clip, which was originally shared in June 2021 and has since garnered more than 16.5 million views, Hewitt and her boy brazenly lip-sync to a rap song while sticking their tongues out at haters who disapprove of their age proximity.

“Wait you had him then you were 11? Or is something wrong with my math,” penned a confused commentator.

“That math doesn’t add up. Someone help me understand,” chimed another, adding laughing emojis for emphasis.
“What does a bonus son mean?” another questioned.
In blended families, the term “bonus” is typically used by a nonbiological adult in a child’s life who has assumed a parental role through marriage.
And in a follow-up post, Hewitt further explained that her unique position in the teenager’s life is a sacred status.
“Being a bonus mother is earned, step mother is just someone that married a dad,” she penned in the captions of the sequel snippet. The video has since been removed form her TikTok account.
However, in more recent videos, it appears Hewitt and the boy’s father — who’s identity has not been publicly released — have since divorced.
But, thankfully, their split does not seem to have severed her relationship with the teen.
“My door is always open to my bonus kids,” Hewitt declared, in part, on TikTok last month. “They will know how much I loved & cared for them,” she added while taking a few digital jabs at her now ex-husband.
In a separate share, she wrote: “The next guy I get into a relationship with better know that breaking up isn’t an option.”
